King Island Scheelite – Expression of interest for employment
King Island Scheelite Limited is seeking expressions of interest for employment on the proposed redeveloped Dolphin Mine at Grassy.
In order to assist with planning, in areas such as logistics and accommodation, KIS is currently reviewing the workforce requirements for the mine. In discussions with King Island Council and the community in general, KIS has advised its preference to employ a workforce from either existing King Island residents or persons prepared to relocate to King Island.
Whilst there will be a proportion of transitory workers to cover certain skills and experience, particularly around the operation start-up, KIS would like to provide the opportunity for any locals with the requisite experience to be part of this exciting redevelopment. When in full production it is anticipated that the mine will require around 60 full-time employees.
Accordingly, KIS is requesting that anyone with an interest in working at the Dolphin Mine complete a short Expression of Interest (EOI) document which can be downloaded here:
Please download the Employment Expression of Interest form from the link above and submit via the upload function. Alternatively, print and send form to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to KIS limited, GPO Box 5154, Sydney NSW 2001.
We reiterate that we are not asking people to complete a job application at this stage (this will commence when the mine financing has been completed and we are in a position to do so). This EOI process is purely to determine the approximate number of local people who may be interested in work and what range of skills and experience currently exists on the island.
